The greatest legacies aren’t bound by time- they inspire across generations. That’s why, during my visit to the hotel honoring Liverpool legend Bill Shankly, I didn’t just sense his legacy but felt the call to leave my own. I realized the power of a life lived with purpose: it doesn’t end, it endures - just as Shankly’s legacy transformed not only a game but the very spirit of a city.

What struck me most about Shankly was that he wasn’t a player but a coach. Both a leader and a visionary, his cultivated talents and unshakable tenacity were matched only by the power of his belief - a belief not just in himself (though solid as iron), but in his team. He took raw potential and shaped it into greatness, forging talent that would stand the test of time. It was then I realized the parallels to my own life. In the kitchen, as it is on the pitch, greatness demands its own brand of courage - a voice that says: you’re ready and worthy. Not by chance, but through hours steeped in sweat, skill, and resilience.

I left The Shankly Hotel with a newfound hunger - not just to redefine my craft but to inspire others along the way. Shankly’s legacy wasn’t about victories or trophies; it was about unwavering belief. Through triumphs and pitfalls, I will remind chefs to remain rooted in their vision and their courage. To decide not just to play the game, but to change it forever.

The Shankly in White brings sportswear-inspired comfort to professional kitchens with a relaxed crew neck design that doesn't compromise on performance. Developed as part of the Chefs Brigade Performance Series, it offers breathable comfort for chefs working in demanding, high-temperature environments.

Lightweight 160gsm polycotton twill is paired with a breathable Birdseye mesh back panel to maximise ventilation and help regulate body temperature throughout service. The ribbed crew neck collar with contrasting mesh detail delivers a modern athletic aesthetic, while the front yoke adds structure and a premium finish.

Functional features include a welt chest pocket, dedicated sleeve thermometer pocket and the signature Performance Series woven label. Combining technical fabrics with contemporary styling, The Shankly is ideal for chefs seeking lightweight workwear that performs as well as it looks.

14-Day Policy: Request returns or size/colour exchanges within 14 days of receipt. Items must be unworn, unused, and in original packaging.

Courier Fees: Customers cover return courier fees (except for manufacturing defects reported within 7 days, which we cover fully).

Exclusions: We cannot accept returns on embroidered items, sale items, gift cards, or certain shoes.
